September 1977 to June 1979 : "University Institute of Technology" of Poitiers (F) : thermal engineering (particularly solar energy). Degree ("DUT") earned.
November 1979 to April 1980 : six months of internship : Specialisation in Solar Energy at Perpignan University (F).
November 1980 to June 1983 : Technical designer for a thermal energy studies firm.
January 1984 til today : Mission Head at the French Agency for Energy Management ("AFME"), thereafter at the French Agency for Environment and Energy Management ("ADEME"), in Limoges (F).
1984 to 1986 : Valuation of energy saving files;
1986 to 1988 : Technical information and training regarding efficient products and renewable energies (biomass and solar energy);
1988 to 1991 : Project of strategic consulting on energy management for local communities, in the fields of constructions, heating, remote technical control, public lighting, utilisation and billing of electricity, heating contracts, etc...
1992 to 1994 : Consulting for the local and regional communities for a sustainable development : urban and rural planing, renewable energies, waste management, goods and travellers transportation.
At the same time, since 1989 : Progressive and thorough knowledge acquisition of : -financial mechanisms for rural electrification; -cost allocation of energy distribution in rural areas; -Demand Side Management; -ways of generating local economical interest for renewable energies.
1995 to 1997 : member of the national staff of ADEME in charge of renewable energies and Demand-Side Management (DSM). Research-development studies managed with Electricité de France (EDF) about these subjects. Leader of a european programme, granted by CEE, about DSM in France and Portugal.
1998 til today : french expert in DSM, particularly in the field of
local communities, developping actions in order to limit
environmental impacts of electric lines and power plants.
Good working knowledge of personal computers : installation and advanced uses of wordprocessors, spreadsheets, databases, etc... Manager of a local area network, user of Internet, Windows NT administrator. Linux user since september 1999.
